For me, this needs to be an active process so ...
1st) I open a new page on Notability and I try to reproduce the mindmaps I have previously designed and used for studying. ✍🏻
2nd) Of course, I do not write down all of the info but the keywords while saying for myself everything I can remember. 💭
3rd) If I am stuck, I add a star next to that point to check it later. ✳️ (This process takes me around 20 minutes ⌚)
4th) I check what I was done well and what needs improvement.
- The main problems tend to be definitions so I create an online quiz with these definitions so to study them in those moments when energy is lacking but we want to keep practising.
P.E: In today's revision I added around 15 definitions to my quiz as unit 8 (Discourse Analysis includes a lot of them which are very similar to each other).
5th) I give myself a grade of how well I remembered the topic according to my standards. My objective is to include 100% of the information I decided during the composition of a given theme.
P.e: In today's test I scored 85%. I remembered most of the info but not some definitions. And then I leave this topic aside so to transfer the contents to the long-term memory!! 🧠❤️
